| Creating the Sections |

| Step 24. |
| This is the 3rd part of this flash tutorial. Next we're going to create the the content sections for the Flash site, so create a layer called sections. Save and import (file > import > import to stage) the star graphic (a). Convert it to an MC called "star_mc". This will be used next to each heading text throughout the site. |

| Convert the "star_mc" to another MC called "sections_mc" |

| Go into the sections_mc. Name the layer that star_mc is on "sections" and create 3 other layers as shown below. For the heading text (welcome), I've used the font properties as shown below, in the properties panel. |

| To create a 2nd section, click on frame 10 of the sections layer, and add a key frame (F6). Delete all the content apart from the first star_mc and heading text. Change the heading text to "portfolio" and then add a thumbnail. I've added some for you below (a), to use for this tutorial. |

| Convert the first thumbnail into an MC calle "thumb_0" |

| Import the other thumbnails, converting them to MC's. Click on the first thumbnail and, at the properties panel, give it the instance name "thumb_0", as shown below circled in red. |

| Next, click on fram e10 of the "script layer , and create a blank key frame (F7) |

| Ive each thumbnail an onRelease function, as shown below. Repleace the part after "getURL(" with whatever page you want to open when the thumbnail is pressed. |

| Create a key frame at frame 10 for the third section |

| And add the content for this section. To extend the frame to frame 30, click on the frame and press F5. |

| Next, click on frame 1, of the script layer, open up the Actions panel, and add a stop() action. This will pause the sections MC at the "home" section, when the website is loaded. |
