| Creating the Fade Graphic |
| Step 45. |
| This is the 6th part of this flash tutorial, where we'll be creating the graphic for the fade transition. First of all we need to create a new layer called "fade". On the new layer, make a rectangle large enough to cover the content area. It also needs to be the same color (#181D1F) as the background. |
| |
| Step 46. |
| Convert the rectange into an MC called "fade_mc" |
| |
| Step 47. |
| Convert "fade_mc" into another MC called "fade_move_mc" |
| |
| Step 48. |
| The fade will need an instance name, so that we can use Actionscript to reset the transition. So, click on the "fade_move_mc" and give it the instance name "fade" |
| |
| Step 49. |
| Go into the fade_mc, but make sure not to click on the rectangle |
| |
| Step 50. |
| Open up the "color mixer" panel (Window > Color Mixer) and cahnge the "type" to Linear. Double click on the slider on the left hand side (a) and enter the color #181D1F. Click on the slider on the right side, and reduce the Alpha to 0% (image b) |
| |
| Step 51. |
| Even though the right hand side is transparent, it still needs to be given a color, so double click on the slider and enter #181D1F for it also. So now that the gradient has been set, create a gradient with a similar width to the one shown in (b) |
| |
| Step 52. |
| Rotate the gradient, by clicking on it and going to Modify > Transform > Rotate 90 CCW. Then move it to the X & Y position shown in (B) |
| |
| Step 53. |
| Enter the width shown in the image below |
