| This is the 2nd part of this Flash tutorial. Next, rotate the text back (modify > transform > rotate 90 CCW). Use the selection tool (v) to select the top part of the text. |

| Next, convert (modify > convert to symbol) the selected area to a MC (Movie Clip symbol) called "1". |

| Cut (edit > cut) the MC and past (edit > paste in place) it on a new layer called "1", and then lock the layer |

| Cut another slightly thicker segment, convert it to an MC called "2", then cut and pste it onto a layer called "2". |
