| To begin with, make a new photoshop document. On a new layer make a subtle brown gradient for the content section, using A28D78 for the foreground and 9E7F6A for the background. Next on a new layer create another gradient for the header section, using 88C6E0 for the foreground and D8B394 for the background (image a). Now we're going to create the menu bar, so make a new layer and zoom in to 300% magnification. Make a rectangular selection (image b), set the foreground to F9F9F9 and the background to D4D4D4, and then drag the distance and length of the red arrow in image b). That's top half of the menu bar done. For the bottom half, create a slightly thinner gradient using C2C2C2 for the foreground and DCDCDC for the background, dragging from top to bottom of the selection (image c). |
