So you wanna make people bleed? You've come to the right place hohoho. First thing's first, let's get our victime, err, model.

This is Rikky, our sexy vampire who I stole from an old deviation cause I'm too lazy to make a new drawing. Ok let's get to work!

Step 1. The Messy Work

Set the blending mode to "Multiplier". This is very important to the blood effect. The "airbrush pen" is a default Photoshop brush. Leave the opacity and flow alone. The minimum diameter is already set to 70%, so don't worry. This is the "lets make a mess" brush!

Choose a highly saturated red ( this means all the way to the right border of the color picker)

Dab little dots over the bloody area. This effect looks better if you're on the same layer!

Step 2. Let it Drip!

Make the brush size smaller. And you can also make the "Minimum Diameter" smaller (30%, 40%). What we want here is to make blood droplets! They are darker and less spreaded! But they are NOT STRAIGHT LINES. They are dots that are very close to each other.

What you can do:

Depending on the red color you chose (always 100% saturated) the blood will look different. And the way you change the size of the brush along the way also changes it. Play with it! It's very simple!

To make a cut, for example, you have to make straight lines, as shown below

The multiplier mode will make the inside of the line get darker as you paint over it again and again, making it look "deep", like a cut.

Couple of Tips:

- Drops of blood: if you drag the brush instead of dabbing it'll look like a cuty

- Make sure there are lighter / darker areas according to blood flow. If everything just has the same color it'll look like paint O.O
