This Photoshop tutorial will show you how to make a cracked stone text effect.
Step 1.
To Start off , make a new Photoshop document and fill the back ground with black. Make some light grey (EFEFEF) large thick text. I've used "BorisBlackBloxx" (150pt) for this but you can use any thick font, such as Arial Black. Next apply the bevel and emboss layer style (layer > layer style > bevel and emboss) on the text, using the settings shown when clicking on image b). Rasterize the text, so that you can apply filters to it. Use the Add Noise filter (Filter > Noise > Add noise) with it set to 14%, Uniform.

Step 3.
Before we create the cracks on the text, we need to make it so that when we cut it, the bevel and emobss won't change. So create a new layer below the text and them merge the 2 together. This will remove the option to adjust the layer style. Next go to [ Part 2 ] of this Photoshop tutorial.
