| This is the 2nd part of the Photoshop tutorial to create a dirty text effect. Next, create some Arial Black text with a size of around 100 pt, and then make a selection out of it. Use the selection to cut (layer via cut) textured layer we've been creating. Delete the layer containing outer area of the texture so that there's now only a text shaped version of it. |

| Make a new layer and choose a chalk brush with a size of about 60. Start to use the brush along the bottom of the text, as shown in image a).Use add noise on the chalk, with the amount set to 20. Then use dry brush, setting brush size to 6, brush detail to 0 and texture to 1. |

| Next move the chalk layer over the text and change it's blending mode to multiply, from the layers panel. Duplicate the chalk layer a few times placing it over different poisitons of the text |
