| This is the 3rd part of this Photoshop tutorial to create dirty text. On a new layer, make a selection out of the text and then fill it with black. Feather (selection > feather) and contract (select > modify > contract) the selection by 4 pixels, and delete the contents of the selection. |

| Change the opacity of the layer to 60%, leaving with something like in image a). Next, make another selection of the text and then fill it with grey on a new layer. |

| Contract the selection by 4 and then delete the contents of it, leaving you with a thick grey border. Change the blecding mode of the grey border to Multiply |
