For the final part, of this Photoshop tutorial to draw a dog, we're going to draw his body. So to start off, make a new layer and path and then create 2 points, making the line have a slight curve. Drag the bottom half of the directional line upwards, using the convert point tool, as shown in image b). |
| |
| |
| |
| Create the points, shown in the images below, to form the left foot. |
| You should end up with a path like this. |
| Next, make a selection, using the path, and then fill the layer with black. Contract the selection by 1 pixel and then delete the contents. Use the rectangular marquee tool to delete the right hand line, as shown in image b) |
| Duplicate the outline, flip it horizontally and then merge the two layers together. Use the magic wand to make a selection inside the outline and then fill it with white. To create the hind legs, make a new layer and path and then make the points shown in images b) and d). |
| Continue to create the hind leg under the front leg layer. |
| Next fill, as we did with the front leg, the selection with black, contracting it by 1 pixel and then filling it with white. You might need to nudge the layer to the left a bit to make it more visible. |
| |
| Finally duplicate the leg for the right hand side and then you're done! A dog drawn in Photoshop! |
