| An easy Photoshop tutorial to create a metal text effect . |

| First of create a new photoshop ducment with dimensions of 260x190, and a black background. The grey (D6D6D6) text has been made large and thick so the texture can be seen clearly. I've used the settings below. |

| Add noise (filter > noise > add noise) to the text, using the settings below. When you choose this filter, Photoshop will alert you that you need to rasterize the layer, so accept this. |

| Click on the layer in the layers panel and create a selection using the layer (select > load selection). |

|
 |
|
| Expand the selection (select > modify > expand) by 5 pixels, and fill a new layer below with dark grey (454545). |

|
|
 |
|
| Apply the bevel and emboss layer style (layer > layer style > bevel and emboss), using the settings shown below. |
