| To start off you need a fairly large image of a person's face, preferably with an interesting facial expression, like in the image used for this tutorial. The image for this Photoshop tutorial can be found here: www.sxc.hu/photo/437618 . I've scaled it down for this tutorial, and you can find the scaled down version <here>. For this tutorial we're going to be enlarging the mouth and eyes so, using the rectangular marquee tool, make a selection over the eyes. Right click on the image and choose layer via cut. Do the same with the mouth. |

| Next, duplicate the image and then resize it. For this tutorial I've resized the image to 60% of the original. From the layers panel, move across the cut out layers from the large image over to the smaller image. By using cut out parts of the larger version, the quality of the image will be maintained. This would be less so if we were to simply just enlarge the facial parts of it's own image. |
