| This is the 2nd part of the tutorial to create modern portolfio layout. Now we have a section for the header and content area. Next, to create the bar below the header, use the rounded rectangle too to create a black rectangle, as shown below. |

| |
| |
| Set the radius of the rounded rectangle to 10 and create a slightly smaller, lighter grey (435054) rectangle on top of the darker one. Rasterize the layer, by right clicking on the layer in the layers panel and choosing 'rasterize layer'. Then make a selection of the layer. |
| |
| Now we're goint to create a gradient on the layer, within the selection, so set the foreground color to 435054 and the background color to 001117. Choose the gradient tool (circled in red) and set it to linear gradient (circled in blue). The drag the gradient tool the distance and direction of teh green arrow. |

| Next we're going to create the diagonal stripes, so create a new layer. Choose the rectangular marquee tool and create a lighter grey (626262) rectangle (image a). Use the transform tool (edit > free transform) to rotate the rectangle by 45 degrees. You can enter the degrees at the top (cricled in red on image b). |
| |
| Place the strip at the top left, create a group (layer set) called stripes, and place the layer inside of it. |
| |
| Duplicate the stripe several times, placing it across the layout, as shown below. |
| |
| You should now have several stripes inside the 'stripes' group. Click on the group from the layers panel. |
| Then merge the group into a single layer (layer > merge group) |
