| In the first part, we're going to be creating the main background areas of the layout. So, start off by creating a new Photoshop document with the dimensions 740x570, and a black background. Create a new layer, choose the rectangular marquee tool and create a dark grey (555555) rectangle (image a). Next choose the rectangle rounded rectangle tool , set the radius to 15, and create a darker grey (101314) reactangle, as shown in image b). |

| Next, use the rectanular marquee tool to create a selection, like in image a). Cut the rounded rectangle into 2 layers using the selection (lay via cut). |

| Make a selection using the larger largest section of the rounded rectangle. You can do this by using the magic wand tool, or by clicking on the layer, from the layers panel, and then go to select > load selection. Then press ok. |

| Now that the layer has been selected, fill it with a dark blue/grey (3E484B) |
