| This is the 2nd part of this Photoshop tutorial. Next, make a selection using the path and fill a new layer, with white, inside a new layer set called "chunks". Now we'll use this shape and part of it to add on to other areas of the text. Use the polygonal lasso tool to select a chunk and then copy (layer via copy) it into it's own layer. |
| |
| |
| Drag it over to another part of the text and rotate (edit > transform > rotate) it counter clockwise a little, to level it out. Copy another chunk into it's own and do the same, but placing it over another part of the text. |
| |
| Duplicate the original and use the trasform tool to scale it and rotate it against the slope of the "N". You should now have 4 pieces inside the layer set called "chunks". Merge the layer set into a single layer, by selecting it in the layers panel and then going to Layer > Merge Layer Set. Make a selection, using the newly merged layer, and then fill a new layer above it with grey (DADADA), as shown in image b). |
| Feather (select > feather) the selection by 3, contract (select > modify > contract) it by 4 and delete the area that's selected. Merge the feathered layer, the grey layer and the text into a single layer, so that you now only have the background and 1 other layer. Next go to of this Photoshop tutorial. |
