| First of all, make a new Photoshop document with dimensions of 80X80. Create a folder named "dots" and then zoom in to 200%. On a new layer (inside the folder) create a grey square, using the rectangular marquee tool, with dimensions of 4x4 pixels. An alternative way of doing this is to make a new 4x4 photoshop document, fill it with grey and then drag the layer over to the 80x80 document. Once you've made the square, make a selection out of it, contract the selection by 1 pixel and then fill the selection with white. After you've made the 1st square, duplicate it 3 times and put 1 in each corner. Then put 2 on each side in the middle and then a further 3 on each side, evenly spaced out. |
