| To start off, create a new Photoshop document with dimensions of 740x500, with a golden background. Create a cream rectangle, using the rectangular marquee, as shown in image a). This will be where the content will go. Make a new layer and then make a selection above the cream rectangle. Choose the gradient tool, with linear gradient selected. Choose a very light grey for the foreground and a slightly darker one for the background. Drag the gradient tool down as far as the arrow shows in image b) |

| Now create 2 thin rectangles along the side of the cream rectangle and the gradient rectangle. First do this on the left, and then on the right. Next, go to 3d layout tutorial - part 2. |
