| Create a new photoshop file, zooming in to 200% and then make grey circle, using the elliptical marquee tool. Contract (select > modify > contract) the selection by 4 pixels and fill it with a pale blue. Contract the selection by another 4 pixels and then fill it with black (a). |

| Now contract the selction by 1 pixel (a). Create a new layer and then fill the selection with dark grey. Use a soft brush to erase the bottom half (b). Next, use the polygonal lasso tool to create house shaped selection. |

| Use the gradient tool to make a linear gradient (a), made by dragging diagonally across the house. For the colors of the gradient, set 2 slightly different light blue colors for the foreground and background. Next, select the line tool, setting it to have a width of 4 pixels. Create the 1st side of the roof (b) using the lightest of the blue colors. Create the other side, completing the roof (c). |
