This is the 2nd part of this Photoshop tutorial to create a Vista style layout. Next make a copy of the rounded rectangle, that's set to multiply. Set the duplicated layer to normal blending mode, with an opacity of 30%, as shown in image a). Next, choose the linear gradient tool and with the same light green, set it to foreground to transparent. Create a new layer and then make a selection using any of the rounded rectangles. Drag from the top of the selelction to create a foreground to transparent gradient, as shown in image b) |

| Next, on a new layer create a black border by creating a rectangle and then contracting a selection of it by 1 pixel. On a new layer, fill the boder with a light grey. . |

| Now, we're going to create a 3 color rectangle with a gradient. So, select linear gradient and then go to the gradient editor. Set the colors to those shown below. You'll need to a dd a 3rd pointer, by clicking below the blend, shown in image a). Make a new layer and then create a rectangular selection. Drag the gradient tool from the far left to the far right, and you should end up with the result shwon in image b). |

| Create a duplciate of the gradient then use the rectangular marquee to cut away part of the duplicate. |
