Step 4.
This is the 2nd part of the tutorial to create wooden text, where we'll be applying the texture. Choose the pattern overlay layer style (layer > layer style > pattern overlay). Click on the current pattern, circled in red.
 
Step 5.
Click on the arrow circled in red, and choose 'texture fill'. Choose the 'bark' pattern, circled in green. using the settings shown below. Keep the scale at 100% and the 'link with layer' box checked.
Step 6.
You should now have something like below.
Step 7.
Next, make selection using the text. Expand (select > modify > expand) the selection by 5 pixels and fill a new layer below with dark grey (575757).
Step 8.
Apply the 'bevel and emboss' layer style (layer > layer style > bevel and emboss', using the settings shown below.
Step 9.
You should end up with something like below.
Next go to Wooden Text - 3) Depth & Border Part: 1 | 2 | 3
